Lava biface. MNK Main Occupation Site, Upper Middle Bed II, Olduvai Gorge (c. 1.3 MYA).

Leakey identifies this as a Developed Oldowan B industry. It belongs to the same time period as the Early Acheulian and appears to retain a form roughly like that of an Oldowan chopper core.
