Comment: (top) Stone material from Mindle moraine on conveyor headed to crushing machine. (bottom) The conveyor presorts stones into piles by size. Unless artifacts are retrieved on the initial dredging conveyor, they are sorted. Ironically, this has an advantage; it allows comparison of stereotypical iconic shapes across the size spectrum (microlithic to macrolithic). Among the piles of sorted stones, one may spot occasional clusters of stones that appear to be human-made artifacts.
